OO Scale RMP directing traffic. This figure has had a change of heads from helmet to cap, and is painted in acrylics.
A figure in O gauge of Robert F. Fairlie, the inventor of the double-bogie articulated locomotive (patented in 1864). The first such, The Pioneer, was built in 1865 for the Neath & Brecon Railway, but it was with the Little Wonder built in 1865 for the Ffestiniog Railway that Fairlie made his name as an inventor of something special. This figure can be seen “live” as part of our painting demonstrations at exhibitions. .something special.
Two OO scale figures painted in acrylics with face and hand detail, shading, and full button detail on the uniform. Their bases are shown prior to painting. The figures are shown at approximately twice their actual size of 20mm tall, and can be seen ‘live’ as part of our painting demonstrations at exhibitions.
This photo shows a 1:48 scale Scenic Accents figure from their factory workers set, but with a completely new paint job.
Detail includes brass buttons on the dungaree straps, and a pen in the top pocket. The original metal safety helmet has been repainted to represent the Bakelite helmets of the period.
Platform’s End
Three young train spotters, clutching their Ian Allen books, at the end of a platform. This diorama is in O Gauge (7mm = 1 foot). The figures were painted in acrylics. The base is a simple card box in the shape of a truncated platform end, and the LMS warning sign made by sticking a suitably scaled down picture from the internet onto a sign made from card and plastic rod.
Base size is 3” x 2.5”

G Scale (1/24) driver figure painted for a Gn15 layout.
Not the best of mouldings to work with, this plastic figure was stripped of its original paint job, and the new one applied in acrylics. Actual size of figure (seated) is 60 mm
